"Open on app start → Calendar today" opens last used date instead of today (Mac + iOS)
DescriptionWhen "Open on app start" is set to "Calendar today," Capacities opens to the last date I used rather than the current day. This happens consistently on both Mac and iOS after a full relaunch. Attached is a screenshot of how the settings are configured.
Environment
- macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 (25E253), Capacities v1.63.3 (Electron), Chrome v144.0.7559.220, WebKit v537.36
- iOS 18.7, Capacities v1.63.3 (Capacitor), WebKit v605.1.15
- Locale: en, America/Chicago (UTC−5)
- One space
SettingsSettings → Editor → "Open on app start" is set to Calendar today. (Screenshot attached.)
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a daily note for a past date (e.g., yesterday).
- Fully quit Capacities (Mac: Cmd+Q; iOS: swipe from app switcher).
- Relaunch from dock or home screen.
Expected BehaviorCapacities opens to today's daily note.
Actual BehaviorCapacities opens to the last daily note used, not today's.
Troubleshooting Attempted
- Toggled "Open on app start" from Calendar today → Last opened page → Calendar today, with full restarts between. Behavior persists.
- Full reboot.
- Verified system clock and time zone are correct.

Hello,
Just checking in on this. The issue persists even after updating to Capacities v1.65.6.
Thanks
