iOS App Crashes when using createNewObject via x-callback-url

The iOS app crashes when I try to call createNewObject via x-callback-url on my iPhone.

Specifically, I executed the following URL:

capacities://x-callback-url/createNewObject?type=Journal&title=2026-06-09_17-50

I tried opening this URL from both the Apple Shortcuts app and Safari, but the app crashed in both cases. It works perfectly on the desktop version, so I was wondering if this feature is currently not supported on mobile.

If createNewObject becomes supported via the official API in the future, I’d love to switch to that. However, if that implementation is still a long way off, I would really appreciate it if you could fix this x-callback-url issue on mobile. Thank you!

Thanks for the detailed report and the exact URL. X-Callback-URLs, including createNewObject, are intended to work on mobile as well, so crashes are not expected behavior: https://docs.capacities.io/developer/x-callback-urls. This looks like a bug on iOS and not a missing feature. The best next step is to keep an eye on this ticket for updates as we investigate and address the crash.
