Can't add a second connector for another space – "server already exists" (Claude)
Docs say to add a separate MCP connection for each space when using multiple spaces in the same AI tool. But adding a second connector with the same URL (https://api.capacities.io/mcp) in Claude fails with "A server with this URL already exists." I have 5 spaces and can only connect one.

Thanks for flagging this mismatch between the docs and Claude’s behavior. Claude currently blocks multiple MCP servers with the same URL, so separate connections per space are not possible there right now. As a workaround, you’d need to switch the connected space via the OAuth flow instead of having parallel connectors. We’ll review the docs to clarify this limitation for Claude.

Hi Til Apfel ,
Unfortunately this is a limitation, you can however switch the space the Claude connection is set to from the AI chat connector settings without having to reconnect every time. There's this feedback ticket for Anthropic that people have already reported: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-ai-mcp/issues/178
