Mobile - URLs are not saved to Weblinks, but Daily notes
There has been an update with the mobile app, but unfortunately the weblinks functionality is still as buggy.
Right now, if I share a URL in the Android app — so I'm in the Chrome browser, I click share the URL and send it to Capacities — it saves it as a daily note, not a weblink.
I assume this happens because some of the URLs are really long — they include UTMs and different parameters since I click URLs from Instagram ads. My use case is that I see an ad for running shoes and I want to add them to a weblinks collection called "wishlist." Obviously there's a lot of junk in the actual URL, which would take me ages to delete on mobile.
Also, it would be great if I could pick the collection to which I want to add this URL while saving it in Capacities. It's quite common functionality — I'm confused why it wasn't introduced in the updated mobile app.

I have this same issue. When I select Add to, it defaults to today's daily note. It also offers me the choice of yesterday/today/tomorrow daily notes or most recent objects (tasks, projects, pages etc.). I found after testing that if you hit the plus button at the top, you can create an object but weblink isn't listed as an object type you can choose. Most of my saves on mobile are weblinks or images, so missing that shortcut functionality as a share option.

Thanks for the detailed report. A couple of clarifications: when you share a URL to Capacities on Android, does the share sheet let you choose a destination (daily note vs. weblinks), or does it always default to daily notes? Also, are you using the official Capacities app or a third-party tool to share?
Regarding collection selection during save—that's a planned feature for the web extension and would likely apply to mobile too.

... same problem on my Android (pretty old one: Samsung Galaxy S10e, Android 12), but regardless how long the URL is, there's no way to create a Weblink object when sharing an URL (Chrom).
After sharing, I get the option to add URL as text link to today's daily note (screenshot-1). When clicking on "Hinzufügen zu" (add to), I can select another object type, but Weblink is not provided (screenshot-2a, screenshot-2b). Funny: regardless what object type I choose, I CAN NOT click "Erstellen" (create), it's always disabled.
Would be great to fix this soon.
