Horizontal pages on mobile are buggy, link pop-over generally buggy with keyboard [Android]
This is primarily in reference to the Daily Notes / Tasks / Timeline. I was pleased to see that in the recent full UI update that you remove horizontal pages from the search page for example (basically, replacing the bottom nav paging pattern) but disappointed that it survives in the main part of the app. For me, and I assume many others, the Daily Note is the central part of the Capacities system. I use it as a rich journal where I record my notes on books and other media, keep a ephemeral todo list and some personal reflections.
Horizontal pages on mobile needs to be rethought completely, because it is buggy, and intrinsically buggy. You will not be able to fix this fully, and your experienced developers will know this. When the object link pop-over dialog appears to the right side of the screen, the page will almost always partially scroll right, breaking the page scroll snap persistently. As a user, one must learn a few tricks to snap it back, such as scrolling to the end of the pages and then back, or simply wait it out for another pop-over dialog to move it again. The benefit of having screens as pages is generally loading (rendering) time and UX for swiping behaviour. I would not judge these as necessary or successful as applied to the Capacities app. I do not know who wants to scroll between pages in this way. You now have the page "tabs" (visually, multi segment chips) completely visually divorced from the pages themselves (floating above in the app bar area), one would not even know they were pages.
You had bugs like this before in the v1 UI of the app, which interacted poorly with the Android keyboard (a notoriously difficult relationship to manage, I will grant) and the linking context pop-over dialog, and you'd improved them. So I would consider this to be a regression. The keyboard and link context pop-over dialog is also generally a complete mess on Android. It can get frozen so you can't dismiss it, it regularly scrolls so the cursor is off-screen and occludes the writing.
As always, I want strong critical feedback to be accompanied by thanks. I know these are challenging things to get right. When things work smoothly, I think your platform is the best of its kind. Your product design is generally good, though I question the need for all your AI integrations (who is asking for AI gen image integration? It seems like waste of your time). But I must insist that the Android app works correctly to justify the subscription. It feels like no one is actually testing the app and that you continue to develop features without improving the core experience. Without improvements, it will be impossible to justify the expense as my bag of compensatory tricks to use the Android app now outweighs the normal mode of operation.
