Keyboard visibility bug on Android app

Hi, I am on a pixel 8a. I am using the app vertically.

After opening the keyboard on a page, the page shrinks in half (the part without the keyboard). This carries over when the keyboard is closed manually, but it is fixed by pressing the button for "close keyboard".

I suspect the app is doing something where it's accommodating the keyboard size without recognising Android itself resizes the app with the Google keyboard.
