new mcp features not working
The Capacities app on the MacBook Pro is version 1.71.12, and it updated today at 16:38. Here is the revised email.
Subject: Claude connector shows 14 of 19 MCP tools: block editing from Release 71 is missing
Hello Capacities team,
Release 71 (18 September) says that Claude can now edit objects and blocks through your MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. My Claude connection does not have these tools.
Your MCP documentation lists 19 tools. My connection shows 14. These five tools are missing:
addBlock
updateBlock
deleteBlock
deleteObject
uploadMedia
The other 14 tools work. On 23 September I wrote to my daily note with saveToDailyNote and read the entry back successfully.
My setup:
Plan: Believer Plus
Capacities desktop app: version 1.71.12 (macOS)
Connection: the Capacities connector in Claude (claude.ai connectors, used from the Claude desktop app)
What I tried:
I removed the connector, connected it again, and approved the permissions.
I started a new Claude session. It still showed 14 tools.
My questions:
Does my account have the Release 71 editing feature?
Does the Claude connector request the mcp:write scope, and do the five block tools need anything more?
Is there a step that I missed to make the new tools appear?
Thank you,
Mike May

Same problem here, on a different plan and in two different clients.
Setup
Plan: Capacities Pro
Client 1: the Capacities connector in claude.ai, used from the Claude desktop app for macOS
Client 2: Claude Code in the terminal, connected directly to https://api.capacities.io/mcp. It has its own separate OAuth login.
What I see
Both clients list the same 14 tools.
Missing: addBlock, updateBlock, deleteBlock, deleteObject, uploadMedia.
The five tools are missing from the tool list right after reconnecting. They don't show up at all, so Claude can't even try to call them.
The list does include write tools such as createPage, createObjectViaMD and updateObjectViaMD. That suggests the login has write access and that something separate hides the five.
What I tried
I re-authenticated Claude Code on 23 September and started a new session. It still showed 14 tools.
I checked my Claude Code settings. No rule there blocks or hides any Capacities tools.
Permissions shown on the consent screen: [what the consent screen listed]
Two separate clients with two separate logins, on two different paid plans (Mike's Believer Plus and my Pro), return the same 14 tools. That points to the server leaving these five tools out of its tool list for our accounts. The clients themselves don't seem to be the cause.

Thanks for the detailed report. Could you add a screenshot of Claude’s available MCP tools and the connector permissions/scopes shown during setup? Also confirm whether the five tools are absent immediately after reconnecting or only unavailable when invoked. https://docs.capacities.io/reference/ai-chat-connectors

The new features aren't working for me in Claude either. After reconnecting, only 14 tools are available – deleteObject, addBlock, updateBlock and deleteBlock are missing.
